Kids Rafting & Activities

Children ages 6 & up

REO is a wonderful place for families with children. Our minimum age to participate in adventure activities is 6 years. Here are your options if bringing children ages 6 and older to REO:
  • Kids Camp Daycare. Resort fun for ages 6-9 includes treasure hunt, nature hikes, and games. Kids Camp fees are included in your Club REO vacation package.
  • Family Rafting. River fun for the whole family. We have 2 choices depending on water levels: whitewater rafting on the easier sections of the Nahatlatch (Class 2-3) or scenic float trip on the Fraser River (Class 1-2).
  • Adventure Activities. Activities include rock rappelling, hiking, sturgeon fishing. Minimum ages subject to conditions and weight restrictions.

Children / Teenagers ages 10 & up

  • Family Rafting. River fun on select rivers in paddle rafts to include moderate to exciting rapids (up to Class 4 rapids). River choices include the Nahatlatch, Thompson and Fraser.
  • Other Resort Adventures. The Mehatlatch Adventure Trail (includes advanced canoeing and moderate hiking); Intro to kayaking (lake and river), sturgeon fishing & rock rappelling.

Families with Teenagers ages 15+

Some REO activities have a minimum age of 15 due to the difficulty level:
  • Advanced Whitewater Kayaking (Class 3-4)
  • Nahatlatch Canyon (Class 4+, July & August)
  • Nahatlatch Classic at high water (May & June)
  • Stein (Class 5, August)
