Deposit and Cancellation Policies

In order to provide the best service and experience possible REO requires advanced bookings. Not only does this give us time to prepare it ensures that you are able to secure your spot when it best suits you. Here are some FAQ's about our policies.


Advanced bookings

There is no exact time frame as to how far in advance you need to book your trip unless you are booking a camp, retreat or Club REO family vacation.  However, many trips tend to sell out and therefore booking as far in advance as possible is recommended.  This ensures that you will secure the dates and activities that are ideal for you.  For bookings more than 4 months in advance, please call the office at 604.461.7238, 800.736.7238 or email us to find out about early booking discounts.

Payment deadlines

Full payment is required prior to arrival at REO for all trips. 30 days prior for the Irish Dance Camp and Club REO family vacations.  60 days prior for the Songwriters Retreat and Cat Smiley's Boot Camp.

Refund policy

REO will only offer credits for bookings that are canceled.  Credit may be used at REO Rafting Resort at a future date (valid 1 year from departure date) for packages available at the time of booking.  Booking cancellation policies:
  • For Daytrips, Overnighters, Weekenders, Getaways and Full Montys canceled 30 days or more prior to trip date you will receive a full credit voucher less a $50 administration fee per person (valid 1 year from departure date). Cancellations 3-29 days of departure receive a 50% credit voucher less a $50 administration fee per person. Cancellations less than 3 days of departure and no shows receive no refunds or credit vouchers.
  • Deposits paid for Club REO vacations, Irish Dance Camp, Songwriter retreats, Shape Up Vacations or group and school trips are non-refundable. For cancellations, full payments are subject to the following terms: credit issued is on total after deducting non-refundable deposit; cancellations more than 30 days in advance receive full credit less deposit and $50 per person administration fee; 7-29 days in advance receive 75% credit voucher less deposit and administration fee; less than 7 days receive 50% credit voucher less deposit and administration fee. No shows receive no credit.
  • REO reserves the right to cancel a trip because of weather, water levels, or safety concerns. In this case full refunds will be issued.  REO reserves the right to change rivers or river sections because of weather, water levels, or safety concerns.  If there is a price difference between trips, a refund for the difference will be issued.


Changing dates

 Yes, you can change the dates of your trip as long as it is more than 3 days prior to your departure date. We will do our best to accommodate the change but cannot guarantee the requested dates will be available.  If you would like to change the dates, the best thing is to do it as far in advance as possible. A $50 per person administration fee will be charged to re-schedule trips less than 3 days prior to departure date.  Rescheduled trips must be within the same operating season.

Deposits

Deposits are not required for Daytrips, Getaways and Full Monty's.  Full payment is required to reserve seats.  Deposits are required for camps, retreats and Club REO family vacations.  These deposits are non-refundable. Please see deposit amounts below.


Policies for Retreats, Camps, and Club REO Family Vacations

  • Club REO Family - $200 non-refundable deposit pp required to reserve space; full payment 30 days prior.
  • Songwriter Retreats - $200 non-refundable deposit pp to reserve space; full payment 60 days prior.
  • Cat Smiley's Shape-Up Vacation - 25% non-refundable deposit pp to reserve space; full payment 60 days prior.
  • Irish Dance Camp - $200 non-refundable deposit pp to reserve space; full payment 30 days prior.
Deposits are non-refundable.  These are specialty packages and tend to get booked up quickly.  Reservations far in advance are recommended, along with a deposit to secure your space.  These packages also require more planning and therefore require an earlier commitment from participants.

Cat Smiley's Shape-Up Vacation terms and conditions

This camp is for healthy individuals who want to have a great time on vacation. Participants should be mentally prepared for the physical challenges, nutritional and lifestyle differences from their normal routine, be open to embracing new challenges and come with the intention to Shape Up! They must also agree to our all-inclusive program goals and restrictions, such as no alcohol, drugs, cigarettes or outside food during the duration of your stay.

1. 25% non-refundable deposit per person is required to confirm your booking. Space is limited to 30 guests per week for each program, advance booking is strongly advised. When we receive your reservation, we will send you a registration package including medical questionnaire, waiver, packing list and other information that you need prior to your arrival at REO Rafting Resort. This form must be received in our office before your arrival, with any relevant medical clearance. Payment can be in check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.  Balance of your payment is due 60 days in advance of your arrival. If we have not received the full payment, Cat Smiley Fitness Ltd and REO Rafting Ltd reserves the right to sell your spot.  Prices are subject to change without notice, but will remain consistent to the best of our ability.

2. Booking deposit and balance are non-refundable within the 60 days of the confirmed arrival date.  If you cancel more than 30 days in advance of your scheduled arrival, we will issue a full credit for the amount paid, less the deposit amount and $50 administration fee. Bookings canceled 7-29 days prior to arrival will receive a 75% credit less the deposit and $50 administration fee.  Bookings canceled less than 7 days prior receive 50% credit less deposit and administration fee. No shows receive no credit.  Refunds or credits are not given if you have to leave early, or are unable to participate in Boot Camp which is the scheduled, included activities. Cat Smiley Fitness Ltd reserves the right to remove or dismiss any participant whose health and actions risk the safety of others, such as drugs or violence, and also those who refuse to participate in key elements of our program. Participation in Cat Smiley Shape-Up Vacations should be seen as an exciting opportunity, not a burden!

3. Payment does not include: transport and related travel expenses to and from REO, cancellation/travel/medical insurance, any expenses relating to early departure and delayed travel, taxes and gratuities for staff, spending money and incidentals, land and water access fee (3%) and goods and services tax GST (5%).  Please call REO at 604.461.7238 or 800.736.7238 for transportation options.

4.  All participants will be required to sign a non complete/disclosure agreement to participate in the Original Boot Camp and Shape Up Vacations.
